Bitcoin is traceable. Every transaction you've ever made is permanently recorded on a public blockchain. If you want real financial privacy, the most effective step you can take is converting your Bitcoin to Monero.
Monero (XMR) is the only major cryptocurrency with mandatory, default privacy. Unlike Bitcoin, Monero hides the sender, receiver and amount of every transaction — by default, for everyone, always.
Before You Start
You need two things before swapping:
- A Monero wallet — to receive your XMR
- Some Bitcoin — to swap
For your Monero wallet, download Feather Wallet (featherwallet.org) — it's lightweight, open source and works like Electrum. Generate a new wallet and write down your seed phrase. Never store it digitally.
Step by Step Guide
Open Wizardo Swap
Go to wizardo.tools/swap — no account, no registration, no KYC required.
Select BTC → XMR
Choose Bitcoin as the coin you send and Monero as the coin you receive. Enter the amount of BTC you want to swap.
Get Best Rates
Click "Get Best Rates" — the system compares rates from multiple exchanges in real time and shows you the best available offer.
Enter Your Monero Address
Paste your XMR receiving address from Feather Wallet. Double-check it — crypto transactions are irreversible.
Send BTC to the Deposit Address
You receive a unique Bitcoin deposit address. Send exactly the specified amount to that address from your wallet.
Wait for Confirmation
The swap happens automatically. You can track the status in real time on the swap page. Usually takes 10–30 minutes depending on network congestion.
Important Tips
- Never use an exchange address as your receiving address — always use a self-custodial wallet like Feather
- For large amounts — consider splitting into multiple smaller swaps to reduce risk
- Check the deposit address — always verify the first and last few characters before sending
- Keep the swap ID — save the trade ID in case you need to contact support
After the Swap
Once your XMR arrives in Feather Wallet, the traceability chain is broken. Your funds are now in Monero — the transactions are private by default and cannot be traced by blockchain analytics firms.
If you ever need to convert back to Bitcoin, you can do the same process in reverse: XMR → BTC. The resulting Bitcoin will have no traceable history.
